Ekkaa Electronics, an original design manufacturer of LED TVs, is planning to invest Rs 1,000 crore in a new manufacturing unit in Noida over a five-year period.

The company's product line will be expanded to include washing machines, multimedia speakers, true wireless stereo (TWS), and smartwatches, as well as an export arm.

The proposed new plant will produce monthly capacity of one million LED TVs, and the company plans to manufacture LED TV equipment such as power presses and backlighting panels.

The company has already invested approx. Rs 200 crore in product diversification and backward integration and plans to begin operations in Q1/FY24.

The expansion funds will be raised through private equity. Ekkaa Electronics had a revenue turnover of Rs 425-450 crore in FY22. The company expects to close FY23 with a profit of Rs 600 crore.
