Sigachi Industries, a Hyderabad-based leader in excipient manufacturing, is set to commission its new croscarmellose sodium (CCS) facility at Dahej, Gujarat, by October 2026.
The company has obtained environmental clearance, with Managing Director & CEO Amit Raj Sinha highlighting that CCS will complement its microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) portfolio, offering holistic excipient solutions. Sigachi reported a 29.57 percent surge in MCC production in FY25, reaching 19,387 MTPA, outpacing industry growth. Its MCC revenue has grown at a five-year CAGR of 26.47 percent, and capacity expansion to 25,000 MTPA is underway.
Alongside, the company is scaling its active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) business, strengthened by the 2023 acquisition of 80 percent stake in Trimax Bio Sciences and a new state-of-the-art R&D centre in Hyderabad.
