Flex is considering shifting from China and investing around USD 500 million (Rs 3,500 crore) to expand its manufacturing capabilities in India.
The company intends to increase its exports from the South Asian nation 20-fold to USD 12 billion.
Flex, which entered India in 2001, exports electronics worth about USD 600 million from its 11 facilities across Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Gurugram and Vishakhapatnam. It employs some 25,000 people.
