Fortis Healthcare will invest over Rs 900 crore to expand its Mohali campus, Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora has announced.
The project will add more than 400 beds, creating a world-class centre of excellence in healthcare. Spread over 13.4 acres, the expanded facility is expected to generate over 2,500 direct and 2,200 indirect employment opportunities, boosting Punjab’s status as a hub for advanced healthcare and medical tourism. Currently, Fortis Mohali has a 375-bed facility, including 194 ICU beds, and offers expertise in cardiac sciences, oncology, organ transplants, robotic surgery, and critical care.
Minister Arora highlighted that Fortis has already invested Rs 1,500 crore in Punjab, building a strong network of hospitals. The expansion underscores the state government’s commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships in healthcare, making Punjab a center of medical excellence.
