Union Minister of State (IC) for Power & New and Renewable Energy, R K Singh, laid the foundation stone for CSR projects to be undertaken by REC worth Rs 24.38 crore in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on 19 September 2020.
The foundation stone was laid for construction of 100-bed waiting hall for patients, multipurpose hall and incubation centre at Sadar Hospital and procurement and installation of 25 incubators at District Hospital and PHCs.
He also laid the foundation stone for renovation of 50 Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) and providing containers for storing food grains, LPG gas connection and setting up antenatal care corners in 1,125 AWCs. The foundation stone was also laid for construction of 200-bed rest room (Vishram Sadan) for patients in Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur.
The objective of the project is to improve and provide better health services to people residing in and around the aspirational district Muzaffarpur.
