On 11 December, 2025, President of India, Droupadi Murmu, attended a civic reception hosted by the government of Manipur at the City Convention Centre in Imphal.
During her visit, the President laid the foundation stones for 14 major developmental projects, valued at Rs 1,180 crore, and inaugurated 12 completed projects worth Rs 207 crores. These projects are part of ongoing efforts to boost the state’s infrastructure and foster economic growth. Addressing the gathering, President Murmu expressed her commitment to supporting the development of Manipur and emphasised the importance of these initiatives in enhancing the region’s connectivity and quality of life.
These investments would create new opportunities for the people of Manipur, ensuring progress in various sectors including education, healthcare, and infrastructure. This visit marked another step in strengthening the ties between the Central government and the state, with a focus on inclusive development.
