French luxury fabric manufacturer Dormeuil anticipates double-digit annual growth in India over the next five years. Managing Director of Dormeuil, Richard Boide, revealed that India currently contributes around 10 percent of the company’s total revenue.
Dormeuil’s growth strategy in India focuses on expanding its retail footprint selectively, as it currently partners with P N Rao, a prominent retailer, making its products available in all eight P N Rao stores across major cities. Boide explained, “We have established partnerships with key players like P N Rao in major cities. We have similar arrangements in other locations, including Delhi, which is a strong market for us due to its relatively cooler climate.”
Highlighting the importance of strategic retail expansion, he underscored the company’s focus on organic growth with its existing partners.
The company, which offers nearly 5,000 SKUs worldwide, has also introduced three new luxury fabrics in collaboration with P N Rao - Forever Gold, Extreme Vicuna, and Pashmina. These premium offerings further enhance the brand’s appeal among India’s growing affluent consumer base. With its focus on strategic partnerships, exclusive distribution, and high-end product offerings, Dormeuil is well-positioned to capitalize on India’s evolving luxury fashion market and strengthen its foothold in the country.
