GAIL India has received authorization from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNRGB) to lay a spur line from Vijaipur to Bina refineryin Madhya Pradesh.
The proposed line will originate from the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur-GREP-Dahej-Vijaipur (HVJ-GREP-DVPL) natural gas pipeline at Vijaipur and terminate at BPCL’s Bina Refinery It will have a diameter of 18 inches and cover a length of 108 km. The project carries a capital expenditure of Rs 427.49 crore and is scheduled for completion within three years from the date of this communication. The capacity is three mmscmd including common carrier capacity.
The expansion aims to strengthen connectivity and ensure reliable supply of natural gas to BPCL’s key refinery operations. The project reflects its broader efforts to support industrial demand, and facilitate energy transition through cleaner fuels. The development of the spur line is also aligned with the government’s target of increasing the share of natural gas in India’s energy basket.
