The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is seeking Rs 375 crore from the Uttar Pradesh government for five major infrastructure projects aimed at easing traffic and boosting connectivity.
The most significant among these is the construction of two ramps connecting Vasundhara and Kanawani to the 10.3-km Hindon Elevated Road, for which Rs 200 crore is being sought. These two-lane, 400-mtrs.long ramps will link to Sidharth Vihar via a slip road and cloverleaf interchanges, significantly reducing travel time to the Delhi border from 30–45 minutes to under 10 minutes.
Another key proposal is a Rs 125 crore fully automated multi-level parking facility at Rajnagar District Centre (RDC), designed to accommodate 900 vehicles and address chronic parking issues in the city’s commercial hub. Additionally, a Rs 36 crore road project aims to connect Meerut Road with NH-58. If approved, the projects will be funded under the state’s infrastructure development fund. GDA plans to present these proposals soon to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
