Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) has awarded a contract to Toyo Engineering India for the supply of an Ammonium Nitrate -II plant on a lump sum engineering procurement and construction (LEPC) basis.
The contract, valued at approx. Rs 360 crore, is expected to be completed within 20 months. The plant will be based on INCRO technology, with Toyo Engineering partnering with INCRO from Spain for the process know-how and licencing. This plant is expected to increase GNFC's Ammonium Nitrate capacity by about 94 percent, meeting the growing downstream demand.
The project will enhance GNFC’s overall production capabilities in India, while supporting the Make in India initiative and reinforcing the company's commitment to environmental conservation.
