Gammon India has bagged a contract
from Government of Andhra Pradesh for constructing Vynatheya bridge on the
Godavari river, connecting Amalapuram and Razole.
The Rs.56 crore bridge, coming up at
Kathipudi-Pamarru section of NH 214, connecting Bodasakurru on Amalapuram side
with Pasarlapudi on Razole side, is being funded by the Union Ministry of
Shipping, Road Transport and Highways.
The executive agency for the 1 km
bridge is the National Highways wing of AP Public Works Department and
Hyderabad-based P.V. Raj & Company is the design consultant. Work on the project
is scheduled for completion by 2010.
