The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded environmental clearance (EC) to Talcher Fertilizers’ ammonia and urea fertiliser unit based on coal gasification for producing 1.27 million tpa of neem coated urea in Odisha.
The unit will be located at Vikrampur village, Talcher tehsil, Angul district. It will produce 2,200 tpd of ammonia, 3,850 tpd of urea (neem coated), among others.
The project will spread over 570 acre of land, out of which green belt would be developed on 180 acre. The company will invest Rs 10,741.05 crore.
The unit will provide employment to 1,500 people during construction phase.
