Greenko’s proposals to develop 100 GWh energy storage systems, green hydrogen clusters, bio-refineries, 2G ethanol units, and facilities for methanol and sustainable aviation fuel have become a key focus of Madhya Pradesh’s investment outreach.
These plans were discussed in detail during Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s visit to Greenko’s Hyderabad headquarters, where he assured investors of “complete support and a seamless policy environment.” He highlighted the state’s industrial corridors, proactive governance, and favourable regulations as strong enablers for green industrial growth.
Greenko, which is already building the country’s largest pumped storage project in Neemuch, now being expanded from 1,440 MW to 1,920 MW with an investment of R 11,500 crore—will generate around 4,800 construction roles, and 200 permanent positions. The meeting also explored the possibility of scaling up Greenko’s presence in the state. Officials noted that this engagement strengthens private-sector participation in Madhya Pradesh’s energy transition as the state positions itself for leadership in hydrogen production, storage technologies, and next-generation fuels.
