Greenply Industries has inaugurated its new manufacturing unit in Semiliguda, Odisha.
The ceremony was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior state officials. The project, developed through Greenply’s wholly owned subsidiary Greenply Sandila, marks a significant milestone aligned with the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
With strong government support including land allotment and regulatory clearances, the plant will manufacture plywood and MDF using plantation-grown timber and is expected to generate over 1,200 direct employment, boosting regional economic development.
Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Mittal emphasised the project’s role in promoting sustainable agroforestry, local employment, and industry growth. Strategically located with access to road and rail networks, the facility strengthens Greenply’s position in advanced manufacturing. In line with its eco-conscious values.
