Daiki Aluminium Industry India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daiki Aluminium Industry Company, Japan, held groundbreaking ceremony for its aluminium alloy plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, on 20 March 2019.
The plant will be constructed on a plot of 20 acre in the Domestic Tariff Zone (DTZ) at an initial investment of around Rs 250 crore. The plant is expected to be commissioned by February 2020.
The plant will manufacture aluminium alloy ingots at an annual capacity of 84,000 tonne.
The products manufactured will be exported to ASEAN and Japan for supply to automobile companies.
The company plans to capture the demand for aluminium alloy in the country and expand the market sequentially.
The project will create direct employment for around 600 people, and 80 percent of them will be women.
