Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Konkan Railway Corporation (KRCL) to jointly pursue and execute large-scale railway and multi-modal transport infrastructure projects across India and overseas.
The partnership will focus on underground and elevated metro systems, NATM tunnelling, railway bridges, and major EPC contracts. The collaboration aims to deliver end-to-end solutions including civil works, track laying, signalling, electrification, MEP systems, operations, and maintenance. HCC will contribute its expertise in heavy civil construction and project execution, while KRCL brings experience in rail systems, operations, and project delivery. Together, they plan to bid for opportunities under various contractual models such as EPC, design-build, unit-rate contracts, and public-private partnerships.
HCC’s Vice-Chairman and MD Arjun Dhawan stated the alliance is geared toward expanding their reach in domestic and global markets through integrated transport solutions.
