HCL Technologies has planned to invest Rs.450
crore in setting up three world-class IT campuses in different locations in the
country. The investment would spread over the next two fiscal years.
The proposed campuses would come up in Noida,
Bangalore and Chennai. The project will be part-financed through sale of
existing vacant real estate.
Work on two of the three aforementioned campuses
is already underway. The first phase of the Noida campus is scheduled for
completion by end-2006. The campus will come on 46 acres of land. For the
Chennai campus, 26 acres of land has been acquired; the project will take two
and a half years to commission.
