HPL Electric & Power will maintain focus on executing smart metering projects under the AMISP (advanced metering infrastructure service provider) framework, said Joint Managing Director Gautam Seth.
“On the metering front, we intend to convert the smart metering opportunity with an order pipeline currently at more than Rs.3,000 crore… and continue selective cost optimisation and strategic investments to sustain profitability,” he stated.
As of August 11, 2025, the company’s smart metering order book exceeded Rs.3,000 crore, with 99 percent linked to smart meters, ensuring strong revenue visibility. Despite seasonal slowdown from monsoons, H1FY26 performance is projected to remain strong with robust inspections and inquiries.
HPL has enhanced smart meter and component manufacturing capacity, producing 11 million meters annually across Gurugram and Jabli facilities, and components at Kundli, Haryana.
