Hindustan Zinc Fertiliser (HZF), a subsidiary of Hindustan Zinc, is setting up a 0.5 MT per annum fertiliser manufacturing plant at Chanderiya in Rajasthan.

The plant will mainly produce phosphatic fertilisers such as di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and NPK nutrients. It is to be set up in the next two years with an investment of around Rs 2,500 crore.

The unit will supply soil nutrients to farmers in and around Rajasthan while the DAP production output is expected to fulfil the domestic requirement.

Apart from bulk fertilisers, the HZF plant will manufacture premium coated, crops specific and micro-nutrient based fertilisers. Hindustan Zinc Fertilisers (HZF) is a subsidiary formed by HZL in September 2022 to facilitate manufacturing, selling and dealing with multiple grades of nitrogenous, phosphatic, and potassic fertilisers.
