Paradeep Phosphates has announced a Rs 3,600 crore capacity expansion plan aimed at boosting production and achieving five million MT in sales over the next two-and-a-half years.
The company will add one million tonne of granulation capacity and increase its backward integration of phosphoric acid by 0.5 million tonne and sulphuric acid by 1.5 million tonne across its Paradeep and Mangalore units. The move aligns with the company's long-term strategy to become a fully integrated and self-reliant fertiliser manufacturer.
The company's Managing Director and CEO, Suresh Krishnan, stated that the successful merger with Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers (MCFL) has strengthened the firm's presence in the south, increased its market share, and unlocked synergies in scale and product mix.
