Chinese electronics giant Haier has filed a Press Note 3 application with India's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to secure a capital infusion of Rs 1,000 crore from its parent company, Haier Singapore Investment Holding.
This move is part of Haier India's strategy to expand its operations in India, including the establishment of a third factory in the southern region, complementing its existing plants in Greater Noida and Pune. Haier's recent growth underscores its commitment to the India market.
According to the company’s filings, Haier India has surpassed Whirlpool India in sales for FY 2024-25, becoming the third-largest consumer electronics player in India. "Haier India’s sales in FY25 surged by 30% year-on-year, reaching ?8,234 crore," the company said
