The Haryana government is actively working to accelerate development in Nuh by focusing on infrastructure projects, particularly a new railway line. The proposed 104-km railway line connecting Delhi to Alwar via Nuh has been approved, with a budget allocation in the Railway Budget. This line will pass through Sohna, Nuh, and Ferozpur Jhirka before reaching Alwar in Rajasthan.
The project is expected to cost Rs 2,500 crore and will enable seamless rail connectivity across the district. Once completed, trains will operate across Nuh, bringing economic growth and improved transportation access to the region. Additionally, the orbital rail corridor project, developed jointly by the Haryana government and the Ministry of Railways, will further enhance connectivity. This 122-km double railway line will connect Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar, and Kharkhoda, catering to both passenger and freight traffic.
The corridor will feature 17 stations, with Manesar and Sohna being significant stops. Since the new Delhi-Alwar railway line will also pass through Sohna, there is a possibility that the two projects may be linked at Sohna, though official confirmation is awaited.
Over the past few years, the region has seen substantial road connectivity improvements with the completion of major projects such as the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, both of which pass through Mewat.
