Hi-Tech Pipes has officially begun the commercial production of its greenfield manufacturing facility located at Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir.

The new plant, with an installed capacity of 80,000 tonne per annum, is designed to produce ERW steel pipes, coated steel products, and other value-added steel solutions. The facility features modern manufacturing infrastructure, advanced automation, and robust quality control systems, ensuring the company meets stringent customer specifications and industry standards.

With the launch of the Kathua unit, Hi-Tech Pipes is now approaching a total installed manufacturing capacity of one million tonne, further cementing its position as one of India’s fastest-growing steel tube and pipe manufacturers. The greenfield plant aligns with the company’s strategy to increase its focus on value-added products (VAPs), which is expected to improve product mix. The new capacity is expected to contribute significantly to growth from Q4/FY26 onward.
