Novelis Inc, a Canada based subsidiary of Hindalco Industries, is likely to
ramp up the capacity of its plant in Brazil.
The company has chalked out a capex plan of $300 million (approx Rs 1,300
crore) for the proposed expansion. It plans to increase its flat-rolled
aluminium capacity to 2.5 lakh tpa by 2013.
The capacity expansion is likely to be through de-bottlenecking and new

completed by 2012.
