The Hiranandani Group intends to start a semiconductor assembly, testing, marking and packaging (ATMP) facility in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region. It has applied for 100 acres of land from the Yamuna Expressway Authority under the Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
To expand its footprint in the region, the Group has incorporated ‘Tarq Semiconductors’ to take forward the semiconductor vertical. It anticipates an investment of over Rs 2,500 crore in the first phase, which would be infused within 24 months, once approvals are obtained.
Additionally, the Group has sought 2,00,000 litres of water per hour in phase-1 (and 750,000 litres per hour for all three phases) to run the unit, as well as a 50 MW power substation. The proposal is under consideration by YEIDA.
Prior to this, the Hiranandani Group had set up UP’s first data centre on 25 acres of land in Knowledge Park 5 in the YEIDA region in September 2020. The company's first building was inaugurated in October, 2022.
Its data centre division in UP is named ‘Yotta Data Services’.
