Chinese footwear manufacturer, Huajian Group will build a shoe factory in Nigeria.
Huarong Zhang, chairman of Huajian Group, entered into a USD 1.5 billion deal with the Nigerian government to construct a shoe factory in the country.
The company intends to create 1,00,000 job opportunities in Africa over the next two decades.
The shoe factory, Abia State-Huajian Shoe Industrial City, will be built in Aba and will manufacture 5,000 shoes a day. It will create employment opportunities for around 10,000 people.
