Hyatt Hotels is set to expand its presence in India in 2025, with plans to add 1,350 keys through the launch of six new hotels.
These upcoming properties will be located in Ghaziabad, Kasauli, Kochi, Bhopal, Vithalapur, and Jaipur, reinforcing Hyatt’s focus on India’s fast-growing luxury and leisure hospitality segments. The global hospitality chain currently operates 50 properties in India and aims to double that number to 100 within the next five years.
According to Sunjae Sharma, Managing Director of India and Southwest Asia at Hyatt Hotels, the company will concentrate on expanding its lifestyle brands, including JdV and Andaz, and plans to introduce Standard Hotels, a recently acquired lifestyle brand, to key Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru.
In 2025, Hyatt will also launch its tenth brand in India – Destination, with new properties in Jaipur and Jim Corbett, further strengthening its brand portfolio. Within the luxury space, three new Alila properties are currently under development in Igatpuri, Coorg, and Lansdowne. In addition, the highly anticipated Noor-Us-Sabah Palace in Bhopal, Hyatt’s first Unbound Collection property in India, is now scheduled to open in 2026.
Hyatt’s strategic transformation in India includes doubling its luxury portfolio, tripling resort offerings, and expanding the lifestyle segment fivefold.
