A hybrid car manufacturing company is expected to come up in Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) under Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) in Maharashtra. The company is known to have inspected DMIC land in Shendra and Bidkin, as well as the industrial environment, associations and water availability.

There are 10,000 acres of industrial land at Shendra and Bidkin industrial belt of DMIC under AURIC near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The DMIC is seen as the largest land bank which offers world-class industrial facilities. It supplies spare parts to auto industries worldwide. 

The major projects of two multinational automobile companies would soon come up in AURIC. Senior officials of the companies have held discussions with the state government for the past few months. The area boasts good connectivity of railway, air, and projects like Samruddhi Mahamarg, and the proposed Pune-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Highway.
