IDE Technologies, a global leader in water treatment solutions, has secured a contract with State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) to construct and operate a 60 MLD seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant in Tamil Nadu.
Located in Mullakadu, Tuticorin, the plant will enhance regional water security. IDE won the project through a competitive bidding process and will implement it under a hybrid annuity-based public-private partnership (PPP) model. The contract covers both the design and construction phases, followed by 15 years of operation and maintenance. Nayan Shah, Director of Sales and Marketing at IDE India, emphasised the company's commitment to providing clean, high-quality water to regions in need.
The collaboration with Jindal Water Infrastructure (JWIL) and VPIL will bring state-of-the-art desalination technology to Tamil Nadu. This project further solidifies IDE Technologies’ expanding presence in India and its mission to deliver cost-effective and sustainable water solutions.
