The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality Group, sustained its strong growth momentum in the first half of FY26 with 46 hotel signings and 26 new openings.
Among these, 14 hotels were added through marketing and distribution partnerships with Brij Hospitality and the Clarks Group of Hotels. Reflecting the rising demand in the mid to upscale segments, many signings were made across IHCL’s Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger brands. Strategic multi-hotel agreements with Ambuja Neotia and Madison Groups further fuelled growth. Key signings include properties under the Taj brand in Darjeeling, ECR Chennai, Pondicherry, Mohali, and even Kruger National Park in South Africa.
IHCL remains on track to achieve its ‘Accelerate 2030’ goal of a 700-hotel portfolio. With 12 new hotel launches and 14 more onboarded, IHCL now operates over 250 hotels with 25,500 rooms in India. New openings include Taj properties in Alibaug and Raichak, and unique resorts in Lakshadweep and Thane under the SeleQtions and Vivanta brands.
