Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), has announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which will help expand its brand footprint across key business and leisure destinations in India. It will collaborate with Manikaran Commercials for the new property.
The 350-keys hotel is situated along the new Super Corridor, close to important IT campuses and at driving distance from all major industrial hubs as well as leisure spots. It features an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge. The property will offer an extensive range of leisure and recreational activities, including a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness centre, as well as sports and entertainment options.
Indore, the commercial and financial capital of central India has been chosen for this expansion, and further the greenfield project is envisioned to be one of the largest convention facilities in Central India, with approx. 50,000 sq. ft. of space dedicated to banqueting and events.
Indore, situated on the banks of rivers Kahn and Saraswati is Madhya Pradesh’s largest city, and a major transit point for pilgrimage to the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 12 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands in the state including four under development.
