INOX India has bagged a supply contract for the Thermo-nuclear Fusion Reactor (ITER) project coming up in Cadarche, France.
As per the contract, INOX India will supply and install multi-process pipe transfer lines with vacuum jacket for the experimental reactor project. The order will be executed by INOXCVA, a subsidiary of INOX India, with supply scheduled for 2017 and installation in 2019.
Vadodara-based INOX India is a manufacturer of cryogenic storage and transportation equipment used for liquefied gases.
The ITER is an international collaborative project worth Euro 13 billion, being implemented through contributions from seven partners, namely, China, EU, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and USA. ITER India, which is part of the Institute for Plasma Research located at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is the nodal agency responsible for the Indian portion of the project.
