1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

IOC drops 15 pipeline projects

Indian Oil Corporation has dropped 15 pipeline projects due to the slow growth of petroleum products consumption in the country.

 

Pipeline projects dropped that have been dropped are:

 

1.       Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline to 11.5 million tonnes and Panipat-Bhatinda section of Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline to 2.5 million tonnes

 

2.       Kot-Chittaurgarh-Kota extension of Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline

 

3.       Nagapattinam-Madurai pipeline in Tamil Nadu

 

4.       Augmentation of Patna-Mughalsarai-Allahabad of Barauni-Kanpur pipeline to 5.5 million tonnes

 

5.       Allahabad-Satna extension of Barauni-Kanpur pipeline

 

6.       Mathura-Bharatpur product pipeline and expansion of Delhi-Mathura product pipeline to 5.3 million tonnes

 

7.       Expansion of Haldia-Mourigram section of Haldia-Barauni pipeline

 

8.       Mecheda-Jamshedpur-Bokaro extension of Haldia-Barauni pipeline

 

9.       Crude pipeline at Sandheads (Haldia) for IOC’s Barauni refinery, from East coast to Haldia, and New Haldia-Barauni pipeline

 

10.    Meerut-Moradabad-Bareilly extension of Sonepat-Meerut pipeline

 

11.    Bongaigaon-Siliguri pipeline of section Guwahati-Siliguri product pipeline

 

12.    Chennai-Kurnool-Raichur-Sangareddy pipeline

 

13.    Extension of Mathura-Tundla pipeline to Kanpur

 

14.    Extension of Mathura-Jalandhar-Pathankot product pipeline to Udhampur

 

15.    Koyali-Ratlam pipeline

 

 

Meanwhile, IOC has also proposed a few new pipelines. These include:

 

1.       Additional crude handling facilities on West Coast and laying of West Coast-Viramgam (near Ahmedabad) crude oil pipeline at a cost of Rs.1,179 crore

 

2.       Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline at a cost of Rs.1,100 crore

 

3.       Koyali-Dahej product pipeline at a cost of Rs.85.7 crore

 

4.       Extention of Mathura-Tundla pipeline to Gwalior at a cost of Rs.100 crore

 

5.       Chennai-Cuddapah-Guntakal product pipeline at a cost of Rs.400 crore

 

6.       Vasco-Belgaum-Miraj product pipeline with branch pipeline to Hubli at a cost of Rs.270 crore

 

7.       Patna-Raxaul-Baitalpur branch line to Barauni-Kanpur pipeline (to meet the future requirements of Nepal) at a cost of Rs.200 crore
