Indian Potash (IPL) intends to set up a sugar plant and distillery in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar.
The proposed sugar plant along with a distillery to produce Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) is to be set up at an investment of Rs 280 crore. While the sugar plant will have a capacity of 3,500 tccpd, the distillery will produce 45,000 litres per day of IMFL. Construction work is likely to commence soon.
Meanwhile, IPL is planning to set up a greenfield port in Kuda, near Bhavanagar district in Gujarat at an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. It is likely to seek the Union and state government’s approval for various clearances.
