Indian Poultry Alliance (IPA), a subsidiary of Allana Group, will expand with two greenfield poultry processing units in Bihar and Telangana, each requiring an investment of Rs 300 crore. The company, which recently acquired Kwality Animal Feeds, aims to reach a processing capacity of 1.5 lakh birds per day by 2025.

IPA is also strengthening its backward integration through breeder farms, hatcheries, and feed mills. Plans include launching a retail brand with 4,000 protein stores by 2030, expanding from the current eight-10 stores in Belagavi and Goa. Currently focused on B2B, IPA is engaging with QSRs and food service companies, while quick commerce and online retailers seek supply chain partnerships.

“We may have brands which basically can connect with different people in different regions so we could have regional brands,” Managing Director, IPA, Moiz Chunawala said. The new units will feature rendering plants to process poultry waste into byproducts, supporting IPA’s pet food facility. Advanced technology will reduce water usage by 30 percent. While prioritising the domestic market, the company is also exploring poultry exports, especially for value-added products.
