The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) plans to develop 31 new hotels across
major metros and cities in India over the next few years. The expansion plan is
expected to add over 7,600 rooms to IHG's existing count.
The upcoming hotels are likely be located in cities such as New Delhi,
Bangalore, Chennai, and Cochin, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune and will be run under a
management contract. IHG currently has 11 hotels in India under brands like
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, and Holiday
Inn Hotels and Resorts.
