J Kumar Infraprojects
bagged an order worth Rs.559.40 crore from Mumbai Metropolitan Regulatory
Development Authority (MMRDA) and the Maharashtra State Road Development
Corporation (MSRDC) to build 16 skywalks in Mumbai.
These 16 skywalks are
part of 50 skywalks to be built to facilitate discharge of people from railway
stations. MSRDC is planning to construct 17 skywalks by June 2009 at high
pedestrian density areas around railway stations. A typical skywalk will have a
ground clearance of 5.5 mtrs equipped with a steel superstructure and
polycarbonate roofing.
