JCBL Marrel Tippers (JML) has announced a 25 percent capacity expansion of its advanced manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai. This strategic initiative is aimed at meeting the growing demand for its diversified, high-quality, and value-added products while adhering to sustainable practices.
The expansion will serve various industries, including defense, automotive, railways, mining, and construction equipment, among others. The first phase of the project, adding over 60,000 sq. ft. to the existing one lakh sq. ft. facility, is already operational. A further 50,000 sq. ft. is planned for the second phase, with an additional six acres reserved for future projects slated for FY26.
Equipped with cutting-edge technologies like laser cutting, robotic welding, CNC machining, and airless painting, the facility is designed to ensure efficiency and superior product quality. Moreover, the facility’s existing 300 kW solar system generates 1,350 KW daily, with plans to increase capacity to 1,500KW and achieve a green energy output of 6,750 kW per day.
The move will create 200 local employment and provide opportunities for 40 new suppliers, primarily in Tamil Nadu, reinforcing JML’s contribution to regional economic growth.
