The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will commence survey work on the Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal Metro rail project by September 2014.
About 465 acre of land has been identified and notified for the project, which will be developed with an investment of Rs 27,411 crore.
The 108 km long metro project will be jointly developed by the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) and Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC).
JICA will provide a loan of about Rs 23,217.80 crore for the project and the balance amount of Rs 4,193.20 crore will shared by DMICDC and HMRTC.
The detailed project report is in progress and work on the project is expected to start in 2015.
As many as 50 metro stations will come under the project, which is expected to be completed in four years.
