JTL Industries has announced a major capacity expansion through the commissioning of a new electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe manufacturing line, aimed specifically at the ASTM/API-grade pipe segment.

The new facility will significantly enhance JTL’s capabilities, enabling it to produce: Round pipes from 6” to 20” (168 mm to 508 mm OD) square sections ranging from 130 mm x 130 mm to 400 mm x 400 mm, rectangular sections from 100 mm x 160 mm to 300 mm x 500 mm, with ticknesses from four mm to 16 mm.

The facility will add an annual capacity of 3,00,000 tonne per annum (MTPA) and is expected to be operational within 12 months. With this development, JTL will joins Indian manufacturers capable of producing large-diameter, high-thickness API-grade ERW pipes, offering over 500 stock keeping units (SKUs), and reinforcing its position in the high-strength steel pipe market.
