The Jammu Tawi railway station is being revamped and will be equipped with modern infrastructure.

Currently two projects of redevelopment and re-modelling worth Rs 450 crore are underway and are expected to be completed by April 2025.

Under the ongoing development projects, the existing Jammu Tawi railway station, which has four platforms and three washing lines, will be enhanced and equipped with modern gadgets.

In the re-development process, the entire building of the railway station is being redesigned, while the re-modelling of washing lines and enhancement of platforms is underway. Each project will cost Rs 225 crore i.e., Rs 450 crore for two projects.

In addition, a huge structure of elevated concourse is coming up alongside a shopping mall, eateries, waiting arena, lounge, underground tunnels and other facilities. Moreover, a new entryway is being built on the Narwal side.

The building structure is near completion and will be based on 'Temple Architect' since Jammu is known as the 'City of Temples'.
