Japan-based sanitary ware manufacturer, TOTO, has begun production at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat.
This is TOTO’s first manufacturing facility in India. The project was set up with an investment of Rs 380 crore, covering approx 45 acre of land. Construction work on the plant began in 2012. It is located at Plot-A of GIDC Phase-II, in Halol Industrial Area of Panchmahal district.
TOTO’s India plant will enable it to strengthen its sales network throughout India, including around 90 showrooms, and to supply products for other markets including the Middle East and Europe.
The company is planning to expand its sanitary ware operations in other parts of Western Asia.
