KPI Green Energy has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for the development of 150 MW grid-connected wind power projects.
The company will execute the power purchase agreement (PPA) with GUVNL after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). The LoI was awarded following KPI Green Energy’s participation in the competitive bidding process initiated by GUVNL under the scheme titled “Procurement of power through competitive bidding process vide RfS No. GUVNL/250 MW/Wind (Phase IX)”, issued on 18 January, 2025. A reverse e-auction held on 22 April, 2025, finalised the bidding process.
The tender was designed for the development of 250 MW grid-connected wind projects, with a Greenshoe option for an additional capacity of up to 250 MW. KPI Green Energy successfully secured an allocation of 150 MW under this program.
This project highlights KPI Green Energy’s growing role in India’s renewable energy sector and aligns with the national agenda to boost green power generation and sustainable energy infrastructure.
