Kaveri Seeds has launched its state-of-the-art biotechnology laboratory at Pamulaparthy in Telangana on 14 October 2019.
The launching of the new lab is part of the company’s strong focus on enhancing its R&D and innovation capabilities aimed at improving agricultural productivity and be optimally positioned to leverage future growth opportunities.
The laboratory named ‘Centre for Applied Genomics and Seed Technology’ will house the latest infrastructure and focus on developing quality hybrids for all crops.
The state-of-the-art biotechnology lab was inaugurated by Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Minister for Agriculture, Co-operation and Marketing, Telangana. Kaveri Seed’s research and development activities are driven by dedicated scientists and researchers operating across its various R&D centres and breeding sites.
Kaveri Seeds has a seed production programme involving 1,00,000 production growers on 65,000 acre of land spread over 12 agro-climatic zones to cater to diversified needs of farmers. The laboratory will help Kaveri Seeds further strengthen its leadership position and drive growth.
