Kempinski Hotels & Resorts is planning to add three properties in India, by 2020.
The proposed three new hotels will come up at Mumbai, Kolkata, and Kerala. The company is exploring options to set up a resort in Kerala, either in Kovalam or the backwaters.
At present, the company has one hotel in India, a 480-room property in New Delhi - Kempinski Ambience Hotel Delhi.
Apart from India, the company is also planning to expand its footprints globally, with a plan to increase the number of hotels, from existing 70 hotels to 112 hotels by 2017.
In the past, Kempinski had a partnership with The Leela Hotels in India but parted ways, it intends to grow solely in India. The company is also scouting for different partners (for management contract) in India.
