Andhra Pradesh’s Kopparthi Mega Industrial Hub in Kadapa district is emerging as a major growth centre, with Minister for HRD and IT Nara Lokesh inaugurating two large manufacturing units on 02 September, 2025.
Minister Lokesh launched TechnoDom India’s LED TV plant, part of the Dubaibased TechnoDom Group. With an investment of Rs 121 crore, the facility will employ 300 people and manufacture 10 lakh LED TVs and 10 lakh monitors annually. The company also plans a Rs 55 crore expansion to produce refrigerators and air conditioners.
In the hub’s North Block, Texana World, a subsidiary of Mumbai-based Tex Port India, opened a garment unit with a Rs 50 crore investment, creating 2,100 employment opportunities, primarily for women. Tex Port manufactures over 1.7 crore garments annually across South India.
The Minister also inaugurated the Rs 31.50 crore Executive Centre Building featuring co-working and business facilities. Backed by Rs 2,137 crore in Central funding, the hub already hosts firms like AIL Dixon Technologies, employing over 2,000 people.
