The power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has bagged EPC orders in India and overseas.
In the domestic market, the business has secured new orders from a distribution company in Gujarat projects under the revamped reforms based and results-linked distribution sector (RDSS) scheme. The work involves modernization and development of distribution infrastructure in three districts of Gujarat’s southern region.
The business has secured two orders to establish 380 kV overhead power transmission lines connecting prominent cities situated on the Red Sea coast, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The project will support 400 km of transmission lines in these industrial and tourism hubs.
Another order is for the construction of a 380 kV substation in the central region of KSA, which will aid in evacuating renewable capacity as part of the plan to include non-fossil fuel sources in their electricity mix.
