Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a contract from the Indian Army for the supply of the BvS10 Sindhu, an all-terrain armoured vehicle.
L&T will manufacture the vehicle at its Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira, with technical and design support from BAE Systems Hägglunds, the original maker of the BvS10 platform. The deal also includes a comprehensive logistics support package for deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle sustainment.
The BvS10 Sindhu is an upgraded version of the BvS10, designed for diverse and challenging environments, including high altitudes, deserts, marshlands, and amphibious terrain. The contract further strengthens India’s defense capabilities by enhancing the Army’s operational flexibility in varied landscapes.
