MEDAS EnggDesign (MEDAS), a leading engineering, procurement, and construction company with expertise in distillery, brewery, and food processing solutions, has won a contract from NSL Sugars.

The order involves NSL Sugars’ Jay Mahesh Unit, situated in Mazalgaon, District Beed, Maharashtra. Under this agreement, MEDAS will act as the technology, engineering, and equipment partner for a new, state-of-the-art distillery plant. The plant is designed to have a daily production capacity of 500,000 litres, utilising both sugarcane syrup and grains as feedstock. This large-scale facility is expected to significantly strengthen NSL Sugars’ renewable energy and ethanol production portfolio while advancing the government’s push for ethanol blending and clean fuel initiatives.

MEDAS’ proven track record in delivering complex EPC projects positions it as a critical partner in ensuring the project’s timely execution and operational efficiency. Industry observers note that the contract reinforces MEDAS’ standing as a key player in India’s fast-growing distillery sector.
