Hyderabad’s public healthcare is set for a major upgrade with the launch of the new Osmania Hospital construction at Goshamahal Stadium.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructures (MEIL) has commenced work on this Rs 1,000 crore project, marking the beginning with traditional rituals performed by MEIL President of Projects, K Govardhan Reddy, on the occasion of Dasara. Spread across 26 acres with a built-up area of 32 lakh sq. ft., the 12-floor facility will accommodate 2,000 beds, making it one of the region’s largest hospitals. It will include two basement levels for parking, 29 major and 12 minor operation theatres, robotic surgery units, transplant theatres, and essential waste treatment systems. A helipad is also planned for emergency airlift services.
Additionally, the campus will house colleges for nursing, dental, and physiotherapy to foster medical education. With a completion target of two years, MEIL aims to deliver a world-class, technologically advanced healthcare hub comparable to leading private institutions.
